To our valued Clients and trusted Friends, from the Attorneys and Staff at Nelson & Nelson –

In light of the social safety measures put in place by various levels of government to address the COVID-19 outbreak, we are asking our clients to not visit the office until May 1. Our office is taking every precaution to protect the health and safety of our clients, staff, their families and the broader community.

Our office will remain open, and our attorneys and staff will continue to work on cases. Please feel free to fax, email, and call the office. Additionally, to left of the back door, we have a locked drop box so clients can securely drop off paperwork.

At this time, we are practicing social distancing and many members of our team are working from home. On March 19, 2020, we temporarily changed our office and phone hours to 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The St. Clair County Courts, Madison County Courts, St. Louis City Courts and St. Louis County Courts have “continued,” meaning postponed, nearly all appearances for our clients’ cases. The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (IWCC) has suspended all normal in-person arbitration through Thursday, April 30, 2020. The IWCC will continue to process all usual documents.

Most cases will not be immediately affected by these announcements. Some cases with pending court dates may be delayed. However, if that applies to you, your attorney or their staff will contact you.

If you have any upcoming treatment, we implore you to call your medical provider directly and take their instruction with regard to proper safety measures.

We appreciate your understanding as we modify our service model in an effort to do what is best for clients and team members alike. Thank you for your putting your trust in our office. We miss seeing our clients and look forward to resuming regular operations in the future!
