Nathan C. Lanter
Nathan Lanter is a partner at Nelson & Nelson. His practice focuses on helping injured people in Illinois and Missouri. He has successfully tried jury cases and litigated workers’ compensation claims all the way to the appellate court. His civil litigation practice includes claims for medical malpractice, premises liability, and injuries arising out of complex motor vehicle collisions.
Nate is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Western District of Missouri.
Nate is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the St. Clair County Bar Association. He has also been named recently as one of “America’s Top Lawyers” by the American Bar Association.
Nate has been a speaker at numerous seminars regarding Illinois workers’ compensation and civil litigation. As recently as April 2017, he spoke at an Advanced Workers’ Compensation seminar on the topic of “Causation and Apportionment.”
Nate graduated from Freeburg High School in 1989 and from Knox College (Galesburg, IL) in 1993 with a B.A. in Biology. In 1997, he graduated from Drake University Law School.
Nate was an adjunct professor at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) teaching Torts I & II (personal injury litigation) as part of SWIC’s paralegal program from 1999 to 2000.
