Illinois injured worker obtains $1.25M settlement from third party suit

An electrical lineman was working out of state when an employee of a different company used a track hoe to relocate a large power pole, striking Dave’s client with the pole. The impact necessitated a complicated surgical repair and permanent disability to Dave’s client, who was never able to return to his of job of many years. Dave thoroughly investigated the case and procured a six-figure workers’ compensation settlement.  Following that, Dave retained co-counsel licensed in the state of the injury and worked closely with their firms litigating the case until successfully obtaining a $1.25M settlement at mediation.
