Dave’s client suffered severe and disabling injuries when he was struck by a car whose driver failed to keep a proper lookout in a construction zone in Belleville, Illinois. The client was an Illinois gas construction foreman performing emergency work to a blown gas main when his person was struck by and runover by the Defendant’s vehicle. Initially, both the Defendant’s and the Plaintiff’s motor vehicle insurance carriers denied the claim citing Plaintiff at fault. However, after years of investigation and dispute, Dave was able to secure the full policy limits from both carriers. Plaintiff still has a pending Illinois workers’ compensation claim.
